It is with great sadness that the Igor Carl Faberg\u00e9 Foundation announces the passing of Tatiana Faberg\u00e9.<\/p>\n

The great-granddaughter of Peter Carl Faberg\u00e9, she was the daughter of Theodore Carl and Tatiana Faberg\u00e9 (n\u00e9e Cheremetieff).<\/p>\n

Born in Geneva, she studied jewellery design in Paris in the early 1950s, where she was in close contact with her uncles Eug\u00e8ne and Alexandre Faberg\u00e9. They provided her with first-hand information about the House of Faberg\u00e9. <\/p>\n

After completing her studies, she worked with her father, designing various precious objects that were produced in Paris and Geneva. She always took an interest in the House of Faberg\u00e9 and, since her retirement from CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research), she undertook research into the family history and the promotion of her heritage. <\/p>\n

Her life’s work became the preservation of the family’s historical legacy. She authored numerous books in English and Russian, the latest of which was published in 2012: the magnum opus, “Faberg\u00e9: A Comprehensive Reference Book,” co-authored by \u00c9ric-Alain Kohler and Valentin V. Skurlov.
At CERN, she formed lasting friendships with colleagues from around the world. She traveled extensively and spoke seven languages, including Russian, translating original Faberg\u00e9 documents for publication in her books. <\/p>\n

An authority on Faberg\u00e9, she spoke at numerous conferences worldwide.
The Igor Carl Faberg\u00e9 Foundation is dedicated to promoting the work and personality of Peter Carl Faberg\u00e9, who was the official jeweler to the last Imperial Court of St. Petersburg, and to collecting, as far as possible, everything related to his professional activities (books, publications, memorabilia, and objects in particular).<\/p>\n

Tatiana was Vice President of the Foundation.<\/p>\n

As one of the last descendants of Peter Carl Faberg\u00e9, she is mourned by cousins in France, Brazil, Sweden and Switzerland, as well as by many friends, artists and former colleagues.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
